More About Me

I was born Mary Rebecca Margheim in 1947, which makes me 63. My twin brother & I were born to Ernest  and Ruby Flanders Margheim in Great Bend, Barton County, Kansas. Upon graduation from Ft. Hays State University in Hays, KS, I taught school in Salina, KS. I decided after 2 years that I didn't want to do that for the rest of my life, so when I was married in 1971 I became a full time homemaker. In 1976 my husband and I adopted our son, who's now 35, married, with 3 children and lives near me in Colorado. In 1994 I remarried to Larry Jamison, a father of 6! So now together we have 7 children, 4 children-in-law, and 16 grandchildren.

I work full time as a Parish Administrator in a local Church. I spend time each day helping my 92-yr-old Dad who lives near me, and I indulge in my passion of genealogy nightly, as I research, communicate with, and keep a record of members of my (and my husband's) family. My husband 'Jamie' and I have very busy lives with our families and live happily in our 111-year-old Victorian house.
