More About Me

I was born Mary Rebecca Margheim in 1947. My twin brother & I were born to Ernest and Ruby (Flanders) Margheim in Great Bend, Barton, Kansas. Upon graduation from Ft. Hays State University in Hays, KS, I taught school in Salina, KS. I decided after 2 years that I didn't want to do that for the rest of my life so, when I was married in 1971, I became a full-time homemaker. In 1976, my husband and I adopted our son, who is married with 3 children and lives near me in Colorado. In 1994, I remarried to Larry Jamison, a father of 6! So now together we have 7 children, 4 children-in-law, and 17 grandchildren.

I work full time as a Parish Administrator in a local Church and I indulge in my passion of genealogy nightly, as I research, communicate with, and keep a record of members of my (and my husband's) family. My husband Larry and I have very busy lives with our families and live happily in our 114-year-old Victorian house.
