Cousins in Common

Last night on Facebook I posted that I had found that my husband's 4th cousin 3 generations removed John Andrew Mayers was also my 2nd cousin, one generation removed. This diagram shows the relationships of his grandfather John M. Mayers to me and his grandmother Sarah E. Gann to Larry. John Andrew Mayers was the son of John A. Mayers and Ruth E. Clegg.
I find it interesting that the people on the left side of the chart were residents of Kansas, while those on the right side were residents of Pennsylvania. It was evidently Jane Staggers and Abner Clark who moved to Kansas.

How did you devise that chart?
Which software?
It's nice.

Damaris, I prepare those charts myself using Microsoft Publisher. First I print the appropriate pedigrees on RootsMagic then put it all together in Publisher and save it as a .jpg. It takes some work!

Well aren't you a smartie! That is a great looking chart. That's a pretty fun find. I've started to think that instead of a nice neat little chain, we are all one big knot. I have been amazed in our neighborhood how many people have ended up being related one way or another and didn't know it.
